Too high a tire pressure causes accelerated wear in the center of the tire. If the pressure is too high, you also have less grip, the tire vibrates more and the driving comfort deteriorates. Because the tire is over-inflated, the risk of a tire blowout is also increased. When the tire pressure is too low, there is an uneven distribution of the pressure. This increases wear on the edges.

If you want to check whether you are driving around with the correct tire pressure, it is advisable to check when the tires are 'cold'. If you are going to check if you have just driven many kilometers, the tires are warmer. Due to the temperature rise of the tire, there is 0.3 bar to 0.6 bar more pressure in the tire. Tires are your only contact with the road, so it's crucial that you drive around with the correct tire pressure.
